1. Where is the Municipal Building and what are the office hours?

Village offices are located at 550 Main Street, Telephone number (732)531-4740; Fax number (732)531-8778. The office hours are: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday thru Friday.

2. Where do I register to vote?

Residents can receive registration forms at the Village Office, 550 Main Street, Monday - Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The self-mailing form must be completed and returned to the County Clerk's Office in Freehold a minimum of 21 days before the scheduled date of any election.

Registration forms can also be obtained from DMV offices and Monmouth County Library branches.

3. How can I vote by mail?

Applications for an vote by mail ballot may be obtained either by phoning (732) 531-4740 or visiting the Clerk's office at 550 Main Street.

4. Where is the Police Department located and how do I contact them?

The Borough of Deal Police Department provides services to the Village. They are located at 190 Norwood Avenue, Deal; for EMERGENCY situations, please call 911. For routine matters and general inquiries, their telephone number is (732)531-1113.

5. Where is the Fire Department/First Aid Squad located and how do I contact them?

The Borough of Allenhurst Fire Department and First Aid Squad serve the Village. Headquarters is located on Hume Street east of Main. For EMERGENCY CALLS only, call 911; routine inquiries, (732) 531-3333.

6. Where do Village children attend school?

The Village of Loch Arbour has a send-receive relationship with the West Long Branch School (Grades pre-K-8) and the Shore Regional High School (Grades 9-12) .  Please contact the School Business Administrator via e-mail at locharboursba@gmail.com or 732-245-9332 for information.

7. Who do I contact to find out about garbage and recycling pick-up?

Refuse is picked up on Tuesday and Friday. There is a maximum of three (3) 30-gallon cans from the rear of the premises per pick-up. All other refuse, excluding bulk items, may be placed at the curb not more than 24 hours in advance of a scheduled pick-up.

Dates for 2018 bulk pick-ups: February 7; April 11; May 9; July11; September 19; November 7.

Recyclable materials are picked up on the first and third Wednesday of each month from curbside. Materials must be separated and newspapers tied into bundles. Click here to see the Recycling Bulletin for specific information concerning proper disposal of refuse and recyclable materials.

9. When is a building permit necessary?

Most anything that costs over $100 needs a building permit. Permits are required for the following types of construction: additions, plumbing alterations, new buildings, signs, lawn sprinkler systems, electrical upgrades, water heater replacements, decks, driveways, roof replacement, fireplaces, relocation of structures, site development and swimming pools.

For all projects, zoning approval must be obtained from the Village before a building permit will be issued. Contact the Village office at (732)531-4740 for more information.

10. Where do I obtain a building permit?

The Borough of Deal acts as the Village Code Enforcement Agency. Building permits may be obtained from Code Enforcement personnel at the Borough of Deal Municipal Office, 190 Norwood Avenue, Deal, New Jersey. 732.531.1454.

11. How do I pay a parking ticket?

Tickets may be paid at the Borough of Deal Municipal Court, 190 Norwood Avenue, 2nd floor. Their telephone number is 732.531.1343. In addition, traffic tickets can be paid at www.njmdirect.com.

12. How much does a beach badge cost?

Season badges:

Adults (including children 12 and over): $95

Senior citizens: $55.00

Daily badges:

Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays: $6.00

Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays: $10.00

 

13. Where do I obtain a season badge application?

14. Where do I pick-up season badges?

Badges are available for pick-up from the Village Beach gatehouse, Euclid Avenue and Ocean Place.
